Is the Gateway Arch Haunted???

You may never have thought of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial known primarily as the Gateway Arch as a place where ghosts lurk, but you may be wrong.

It’s true that nobody died while the Arch was being built (which is amazing), but someone did die there since its construction.

Veteran parachutist Kenny Swyers wanted to parachute between the legs of the Arch but landed on the top instead and then the wind drug him and he slid down the 630 feet of the north leg of the Gateway to the West.

Tourists saw him land atop the landmark then saw him quickly fall as well.

Perhaps what matters more is, “What was there before the Arch?” Forty city blocks were cleared to build the monument. An old French colonial village was there at one time, a riverfront port and subsequent warehouse district too.

Ghosts of the Arch Grounds is an annual event with stories of old St. Louis with telescope viewing and more. This year the one hour event is October 18^th at 6:30p

Plus there are the Haunted Tram Rides. A family friendly event with “Trick or Tram” rides to the top, Ghost Stories, games and more. This year Frights and Heights is October 19^th 6:30-8:30.
