Hundreds of Amish Buggies Expected on Missouri Highways Soon

I live in a part of Missouri where seeing Amish buggies is common. But, I doubt that many in my part of the state have ever seen as many as expected to be on Missouri highways soon. It could literally be hundreds of Amish buggies traveling around the state.

I saw KCTV 5 mention that there is something special going on in Holden, Missouri today. If you're not familiar with Holden, it's a small community located southwest of Warrensburg.

So what does Holden have to do with all the Amish buggies on the highway?

There will be what is described as a large Amish wedding with 450 expected to attend and much of the buggy traffic is expected to be on Missouri Highway 58 and County Highways O and U.

That's the reason why law enforcement is advising drivers in the middle part of Missouri to be extra aware that they can expect to encounter Amish buggy traffic before during and after the Wednesday wedding.

Let's hope that all of the wedding attendees in and around Holden, Missouri can have safe trips to and from the blessed event and that those of us that drive alongside them can maybe be a little extra careful.
