Could Morgan Wallen Surprise Fans With an Unexpected Illinois Performance?
Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest names in music today. He's controversial and successful, but he may soon be headed for an unexpected stage.
Wallen's Focus on Creating Music and Touring
Wallen has announced a big tour, and his own festival is already set for this spring; his year is already packed.
There are a few dates he has lined up in the Midwest, and I get the feeling he might make an unexpected appearance at one of the planet's longest-running, most iconic festivals.
It's a long shot, but Lollapalooza is set for Grant Park in Chicago from July 31 through August 3.

Could this be the open window for the chance for Wallen to headline Lollapalooza?
Wallen will be on the West Coast for shows in Santa Clara on Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2.
The day before, July 31, is open for Wallen, but he'll be in Seattle the week before, so I believe he won't be making the trek back to the Midwest.
Morgan Wallen, A Potential Dream Show Closer For Lollapalooza 2025
That said, after the August 2 show on a Saturday, Wallen is headed to Ohio for shows in Cleveland.
What if Wallen came to Chicago and played on Sunday night, August 3, to close out Lollapalooza? It's pure speculation right now, but with the lack of Midwest dates, it's entirely possible.
While Lollapalooza is undoubtedly known for its rock, pop, and hip-hop, country acts have made their way to the lineup before, and with Wallen's massive fan base, it's not entirely out of the question for him to join this year's show.
